Chairman and Founder Shiraz Mirza, who was Kingston-upon-Thames Royal Borough’s first Asian Mayor and whose brainchild the project is.

Former Chairman of Bentalls PLC, Non-Executive at Kingston Hospital NHS Trust, Governor of Kingston College and Kingston Grammar School, and founding Patron of Love Kingston, now Life President of Kingston & District Sea Cadet Corps TS Steadfast.

Retired chartered town planner who held senior roles at the Royal Borough of Kingston, John helped establish both Shiraz Mirza Community Halls and has served as a trustee since 2010, currently as Committee Secretary and Vice-Chair.

Ian, a Chartered Structural Engineer and former Managing Director of St George West London Ltd, led major Kingston developments including the award-winning Charter Quay; a long-time supporter of the Shiraz Mirza Community Hall Trust since its inception, he is also the founding Chair of Brentford FC Community Sports Trust.

Group Chief Audit Executive, with FCCA qualification, and extensive experience working in major financial institutions across international jurisdictions, including UK, Europe, Japan and the Middle East.

Finance Business Partner Epsom & St Hillier University Hospitals NHS Trust UK. Nahida, a retired computer science and software engineering lecturer, began her career at Baghdad University before teaching at Kingston College and Kingston University, where she introduced virtual learning systems; after meeting Shiraz Mirza in 2008, she helped initiate the first community hall website project and has served as a trustee since 2017.

My name is Katherine Greening and i set up and run Anstee Bridge which is a creative alternative provision for young people with social emotional mental health challenges. I’ve worked in the borough of Kingston for nearly 30 years supporting young people.
